Welcome to Dhikar Lock. This Privacy Policy explains how Texense ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Dhikar Lock mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
1. Data Controller Information
The data controller responsible for information processed under this policy is:
- Company: Texense
- Email: appsupport@texense.io
For privacy-related inquiries or requests, contact us using the email above. We aim to respond within 45 days. If a request is complex and more time is permitted by law, we will notify you.
2. Information We Handle
2.1 Information stored on your device
The App may store the following information locally so that its features work:
- Your name or nickname and optional onboarding choices, such as age range, goals, faith-related preferences, tradition, gender, and estimated screen time.
- Your selected apps, app-lock status, earned screen-time balance, and related lock settings.
- Your onboarding status and dhikr or reading progress.
- On iOS, opaque Family Controls selection tokens used by Apple frameworks to identify the apps or categories you choose to restrict.
This information is used within the App and is not uploaded by us to create a user profile. You can remove it by clearing the App's data or deleting the App, subject to your device's operating-system behavior.
2.2 App activity and permissions
To provide its core app-blocking and reminder features, Dhikar Lock may request access to:
- Android usage access: to detect when a selected app is opened and apply the lock experience.
- Display over other apps: to show the Dhikar Lock screen when a selected app is opened.
- Notifications and foreground service: to keep the locking service operating reliably and show service-related notices.
- iOS Screen Time and Family Controls: to let you select and shield apps or categories on your device.
These permissions are used to provide features you choose to enable. Dhikar Lock does not use them to read the content of your messages, photos, contacts, or activity within other apps. You may revoke permissions in your device settings, although doing so may disable core features.
2.3 Purchases and subscription information
If you purchase a subscription or other premium access, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card details. RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider, may process purchase status, product and transaction identifiers, app-user identifiers, device and platform information, and diagnostic data needed to validate purchases and manage entitlements.
2.4 Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it to respond to your request and provide support.
3. How We Use Information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide, maintain, and troubleshoot the App's dhikr, app-locking, Screen Time, and reminder features.
- Save your choices and personalize your on-device experience.
- Process purchases, restore subscriptions, and confirm premium access.
- Respond to support requests and important service communications.
- Protect the App, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the features and services you request.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain, secure, support, and improve the App.
- Consent: when you grant an optional device permission or where consent is otherwise required.
- Legal obligations: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
You may withdraw consent by changing device permissions or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
- To service providers: including RevenueCat and the relevant app-store operator, when needed for purchasing and subscription management.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- During a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice and safeguards where required.
6. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process subscription or support information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
7. Data Retention
- On-device data: remains on your device until you change it, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App, subject to operating-system backup and deletion behavior.
- Subscription records: are retained by the relevant app store and RevenueCat according to their policies and as needed for purchase validation, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.
- Support communications: may be retained for up to 24 months, or longer when required to resolve an issue or comply with law.
- Transaction records: may be retained for the period required by tax, accounting, or other applicable laws.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no device, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
- Request restriction of, or object to, certain processing.
- Request data portability where applicable.

10. Third-Party Services
The App relies on or may link to services operated by others, including Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review those policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services outside our control.
